When you want to browsing through the internet using any browser, exactly you will type the URL of the webpage that you want to visit on the address bar, right? For example you want to visit Facebook, the homepage address of Facebook is htt://www.facebook.com, how do you type the address. Do you type the adress one by one? I think that’s not an efficient way. :D

This post will explain to you how to type the homepage address efficiently. Take the case you want to visit a website that have TLD .com .net or .org. The efficient way is by just type the name like facebook in your address bar and then press Ctrl + Enter and you will see the address will convert to http://www.facebook.com/.

For the website that have TLD .net like The Official Microsoft ASP.NET site. you just type asp in your browser address bar, and then press Shift + Enter, you will see the address will automatically change to http://www.asp.net/.

Use the same technique if you want to visit homepage of wikipedia, just type wikipedia on your address bar, and then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter, this way will automatically bring you to the wikipedia homepage url http://www.wikipedia.org/.

Conclusion:

  • Ctrl + Enter : The efficient way to type homepage of .com domain
