Error Code 0×80070017

When you install Windows 7 (or Vista) you may get the following message:

Error 0×80070017 Windows cannot copy files required for installation. These files may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installtion are available, and restart the installation Error code: 0×80070017

This can be displayed with error code 0×80070017 or error code 0×80070570 in Windows 7 or Vista. The cause is very simple and you can probably guess from the error code in the screenshot above. The cause is that Windows cannot verify the files.

Simple Solution:

• Burn or get a new copy of the disk (burn at 2x or 4x speed) you can use a quality media like Nero or Verbatim
• Or if you have a current Windows installation, you can install it from the hard drive (or try to use an external CD drive) or you also could do it from a usb drive

Once a time I found this error on my friend’s new laptop, but the solution isn’t work, then I try another way: Delete all partition from the hard drive, let the installation running on unallocated hard drive part (I mean: don’t divide or split your hard drive before start the intallation).
